AudiSRS.com – The place for performance Audi
Audi Driver International 2008 at Castle Combe, Saturday 11th October

Saturday 11th October 2008 saw the annual track and trade day of the Audi Driver International event, represented for the first time was AudiSRS.com. In its fledgling year and was the best attended and most obvious stand at Castle Combe.
Running alongside this, and with so many of the members using the track, the management along with some of the members decided to arrange a method of raising funds for charity in conjunction with them enjoying track time. With some input from the benefitting Charities, this was organised splitting the donations between MacMillan Cancer Care and National Society of Prevention of Cruelty to Children, NSPCC.
Over twenty members attended the stand, displaying cars, ranging from S2, S3, S4 and RS models, all of which were presented to the highest standards even though the majority had covered hundreds of miles to get there. A testament to the owners, and a proud badge for AudiSRS.com.
The weather was warm and sunny, which encouraged more to venture out on track than is usually the norm at these types of event, and it was good to see Ur quattros, NSU and other forms of Audi models on track all day, even better to see some of the old Auto Union motorbikes out on track during the lunchtime Demonstration laps in which most of the members took part, affording kids and others too nervous to go on track, an opportunity to view the track from the car rather than the other side of the fence.
Some twenty passengers took part in the Charity laps, donating to the nominated charities, over £200 raised so far and still rising. The day turned into a success on all counts. A successful conclusion to the track day, a marked presence from a new club and an award at the evening Gala Dinner as the Gold award winners of the most informative Club/Website.
Book your spaces early for next year when we will be back, bigger and better with more activities organised and some more fund raising for worthy causes.
